SCT Tune Manual Install

>>STEP 1
Download the tune emailed to you.

>>STEP 2
Click this link, to download and install the SCT Device Updater.
CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD SCT DEVICE UPDATER
After you download it, you will need to install it. This is sometimes a slow process so be patient while it installs.


>>STEP 3
After the SCT Device Updater is installed. Plug your SCT Device (X4, BDX, Livewire, or GTX) into your computer.



>>STEP 4
Open the SCT Device Updater, if it’s not already open. (The icon should be on your desktop)




>>STEP 5
Click “Automatically Check for Updates”




>>STEP 6
Click “Update Device”


NOTE: Your device may have thousands of updates and this can take 5+ hours to complete. This process is necessary before proceeding.

Once the device is finished updating, click “Load Custom Tune File”

Click “Browse”




>>STEP 9
On the left bar, Click “Downloads”




>>STEP 10
Then select the tune you downloaded earlier, and click “Open”. The tune file is a (.CEF) so you will see that at the end of the name.




>>STEP 11
You will notice 2 big blocks (Available Tunes & On Device), the block on the left (Available Tunes) will have the name of the custom tune you just opened. You need to move it to the block on the right (On Device). Highlight the tune by selecting it, then use the “>>” to move the Custom Tune to the right block.




>>STEP 12
Once the Custom Tune is moved to the right side. Click “Program”



>>STEP 13
The tune will begin installing onto your device. Once its complete it will say “Custom Tune Installed”. After it says this on the bottom you can click “< Back”




>>STEP 14
It will bring you back to the “Home Screen”. Once it does this, you can unplug the device and go plug it into your truck and program the truck.
